Accessibility

We want this site to work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification, or a browser set to reduce motion.

What we have done

• The price list is text. On the previous site every price was baked into a JPEG with no alt text, so no screen reader could read one. Every price is now real text in a real table with proper row and column headers.
• One heading per page, in order. The previous site had twelve pages with no h1 at all, and six with two or three.
• Treatment clips do not autoplay if you have asked them not to. With prefers-reduced-motion set, every clip stays on its still frame with a play button.
• Visible focus on every link, button and field reached by keyboard.
• Contrast. Body text is 15.6:1 against the page and the muted text 7.9:1 — both above the AA requirement of 4.5:1.
• Tap targets are at least 48px.
• A skip link jumps past the navigation.
• FAQs are real disclosure elements, so they work with the keyboard and can be found with your browser's own find-on-page.

What we have not done yet

Being straight about the gaps:

• This site has not yet been tested with a screen reader by a person. It has been built to the standard and checked in the markup, which is not the same thing.
• Some older photographs carried over from the previous site still need proper alt text written for them.
• Checkout hands over to WooCommerce, whose pages we do not control and have not audited.
